– Session Styles –
Imagine Your images printed and hanging on your wall. What style fits in your home best? Your session is designed around your taste.

Urban style is more of the downtown, concrete, brick, metal style. If you are more modern in your style, urban may be what you are looking for in your session.

Rural sessions take place out in the country or at local parks and waterways where we can find trees, foliage, grass, and nature. If your style is more rustic or antique a rural session style may fit better in your home.

Is your family more laid back and prefer to kick your feet up at home. Do you have a beautiful garden, pasture, or scenic view in your backyard that you want to have as part of your session? Or maybe your family prefers to gather on the porch rather than travel to the local parks. A home session using your favorite spots will be more enjoyable.
An on-location session takes place away from your home at a location that has meaning to you and your family. It is a location where your family loves to spend time together. We chose your location based on your families hobbies.

Classic images are images where everyone is posed and looking directly at the camera with genuine expressions yet more static body language. We can do a classic at your home or on-location giving you a unique image.

Candid images are the in-between moments where interaction and memories are made. Whether it be a tickle fight or the moments of admiration for a new baby, or the gentle connections showing the love within your family. Candid moments can also be part of a classic image by posing everyone and then coaxing true emotion and reaction from your family. Classic/candid moments are my favorite as they tell a story about each member of your family. They make everyone look amazing by getting hands, feet, hair & details just right, then catching a reaction or interaction between everyone!
Do you love bold colors? When designing your session I ask "do you prefer color or black & white or a combination of both when you look at pictures?". The answer tells me what I want to shoot for during your session as not every image looks amazing in color. My goal is to provide you with the finished images you desire to display in your home or office. Therefore, if you prefer color over black and white, then lighting, session time, and clothing choices may be adjusted to provide you with the best images.

Black & White images capture the emotion of the subject and focus on the person versus the material items in the image. Not all pictures look great as black & white, as some may be too busy or the lighting might be wrong. We want to make sure your images tell your story, so if you prefer black and white I will make sure we create a session that can accommodate black & white conversions. We can turn any picture into black & white but it's not always the best idea. I will let you know if black & white is suitable for the image.
