One of the most common questions I get from parents expecting twins (or more) is, "How much extra do you charge for a newborn session with multiples?" The answer? Nothing extra!
Just because you have more than one baby doesn’t mean everything should be doubled—including photography costs.
Many assume that photographing twins or triplets takes twice as much time, but that’s not necessarily true. A well-planned newborn session follows a workflow that keeps things moving efficiently:
🔹 While one baby is being fed, changed, or rocked to sleep, I’m working with the other.
🔹 Once both are settled, we capture those precious sibling portraits together.
🔹 Afterward, the baby who just ate will have their solo portraits done while the other eats, gets changed, and rocked to sleep.
🔹 If both babies arrive asleep and stay that way, we take group photos first!
Of course, some babies have their own plan—and that’s okay! As a newborn photographer, I’m trained to adjust and go with the flow.
From diapers to daycare, parents of multiples are already faced with double (or triple) the expenses. I believe newborn photography should be a stress-free experience, not another financial hurdle that costs twice as much per baby.
Capturing your babies together in those fleeting newborn days is priceless. Whether you have one baby or three, the love in your family is the same—and so is my pricing. 💕
